Falling Walls is the The International Citizen Journalism Contest on the Next Walls to Fall in Science and Society
For the second year the Falling Walls Foundation and <ahref Foundation launch an international citizen journalism contest asking the web community âWhich are the next Walls to Fall?" in Science and Society.
Inspired by the Falling Walls Conference, that every year showcases in Berlin on the day of the fall of the Berlin wall the 20 breakthroughs in science and society that are going to change the way we live, we are looking for stories of unknown researchers, startuppers, activists, peacemakers..., who are redefining the meaning of scientific and social innovation. Using the power of new media and the attention of the 600 global decision makers who attend the Falling Walls Conference every 9 November, we will give these stories the attention that the media have not granted them yet.
Individuals or groups, professional journalists, writers, bloggers, students, filmmakers, will be able to submit their videos, photographies, articles that will be selected both for the quality of the style and the content.
The best stories will be published on the websites of Falling Walls, ahref and the media partners of the contest. The winner (winners in case of groups) will fly to Berlin to participate at the Falling Walls Conference on November 9.
